Regrettably we are unable to accept new operational membership enquiries at present. Over the past 18 months we have seen the size of our organisation almost double in size which, whilst is wonderful that so many people want to join, it presents many challenges in terms of professionally training members, and generating the funding to buy additional team equipment.

Being a member of our fundraising team is an equally important role as those members who are operational as, without funding the unit would not be able to provide the service it does to the Police and people of Sussex. Anyone who assists us with fundraising will be considered for the first opportunities that become available for training towards operational membership.

Our fundraising activities can take the form of collections at supermarkets, or providing marshals for events such as marathons around Sussex, or representing the unit at public emergency services shows during the summer, to name but a few.
